At ICFW Canada, we believe every senior deserves access to nutritious food, meaningful connections, and a caring community. That belief came to life with the successful launch of our Seniors Soup Kitchen at our 316 Orenda Road office in Brampton, where we proudly welcomed and served more than 20 seniors during our first meal service.
The launch marks an exciting milestone in our mission to reduce food insecurity and improve the quality of life for seniors in our community. More than simply providing meals, this initiative creates a welcoming space where older adults can gather, share conversations, build friendships, and feel valued.
Our Seniors Soup Kitchen operates every Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, offering freshly prepared, nutritious, and culturally appropriate meals to seniors aged 65 years and above who reside within the Brampton community. Every meal is prepared with care to reflect the diverse cultures and traditions of the people we serve while promoting healthy eating and overall well-being.
One of the greatest challenges many seniors face is social isolation. By bringing seniors together around the table, this program provides opportunities for companionship, encouragement, and community support. The smiles, laughter, and conversations shared during our first gathering reminded us that a meal can nourish both the body and the spirit.
Recognizing that not every senior is able to travel, ICFW Canada also offers a door delivery service for eligible seniors living within Brampton. Seniors who are 65 years or older and experience accessibility or mobility challenges can receive freshly prepared meals delivered directly to their homes, ensuring they continue to receive nutritious food with dignity and care.
The Seniors Soup Kitchen is held at ICFW Canada, 316 Orenda Road, Brampton, Ontario L6T 1G1, every Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The program is open to seniors aged 65 and above who live in the Brampton community.
The success of our first gathering would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and community partners. Their generosity and commitment have helped create a welcoming environment where seniors feel respected, appreciated, and connected.
As participation continues to grow, ICFW Canada looks forward to serving even more seniors each week while expanding opportunities to support older adults throughout Brampton. Our goal is simple: to ensure that every senior has access to healthy meals, compassionate care, and a strong sense of belonging.
If you know a senior who could benefit from this program, we encourage you to share this information with them. We also welcome volunteers, donors, and community partners who would like to support this important initiative. Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference—one meal, one friendship, and one life at a time.
We look forward to welcoming more seniors every Wednesday as we continue building a healthier, stronger, and more connected Brampton community.
